K-9 Crochet Pup Hats by Briana K Designs

This pattern is one base hat in sizes 9 Months to Teen, with 6 different puppy ear options. It also includes a felt dog tag cut tutorial. So many different breeds of dogs can be created from this one pattern. You could even crochet a hat to match your dog!

Supplies:

Crochet Hook:

Furls Hook

5.0mm (H hook), or hook to obtain gauge

Notions:

Sewing Needle
Stitch Markers
Felt: Dark Grey, Light Grey, Navy Blue, Dark Green, Light Green, Orange, Pink, Red
Sharp Scissors (I use Cutter Bee)
Xacto Knife
One piece of Cardstock Paper
Hole Punch
Felt Glue or Craft Glue (I recommend Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue)
Pen or Small-tip Marker
1 Inch of Velcro per hat

Yarn:

Medium 4 Worsted. Red Heart Super Saver works great. Pink, Brown, White, and Black for the ears. Your choice for 3 colors for the hat. (Base color, color 1 and color 2)

Yardage:

60 – 90 yards (55 – 82 m) per hat

Ch- Chain
St- Stitch
SC- Single Crochet
SC2tog- Single Crochet 2 Together
HDC- Half Double Crochet
DC- Double Crochet
TR- Treble Crochet (Triple Crochet)
Sp- Space
Sl St- Slip Stitch
MC- Magic Circle

Gauge:

 3in x 3in swatch = 10DC Stitches x 5 Rows
