Row 1: Using Spearmint (green) Bulky Yarn: Fdc 10 (12, 14, 16), turn and ch 2 [OR chain 11 (13, 15, 17), dc in second chain from hook and across, turn and ch 2] (wrong side) 10 (12, 14, 16)

Row 2: dc in first 9 (11, 13, 15), 2dc in next, 4dc around the end of the fdc row, now working around the other side, 2dc in next, dc 9 (11, 13, 15), turn and ch 2 (right side) 26 (30, 34, 38)

Row 3: dc 8 (10, 12, 14), (2dc in next, dc 2) three times, 2 dc in next, dc 8 (10, 12, 14), turn and ch 2

***For 1-3 years, fasten off and weave in ends. Skip round 8**

Round 8: Slip stitch in the back loops to the center of next shell stitch. Ch 1, bpsc in same, dc 11 in next sc stitch, *bpsc in the center shell stitch from previous round, dc 11 in next sc stitch; repeat * around, join (For 2 larger sizes repeat round 7 before fastening off) and fasten off. Front Edging

Attach Spearmint (green) Bulky Yarn to the front opening of the hood and single crochet around opening. Join to first sc, fasten off, weave in ends.

Neck Warmer Insert

5mm Hook
1-3 years (4-7 years, 8-12 years, teen/adult)

Round 1: Leaving a long tail to sew neck warmer inside the hooded cowl, using Impeccable Lujo: Fdc 64 (72, 80, 88), join and ch 2 OR chain 64 (72, 80, 88) join to first ch, ch 1 and sc around, join and ch 2 [64 (72, 80, 88)]

Round 2: dc in each stitch around, join and ch 2 [64 (72, 80, 88)]
For 1-3 years, repeat this row 7 more times

For 4-7 years, repeat this row 8 more times

For 8-12 years, repeat this row 9 more times

For teen/adult, repeat this row 10 more times

Round 3: *dc2tog, dc in next 6; repeat * around, join and ch 2 [56 (63, 70, 77)]

Round 4: *dc2tog, dc in next 5; repeat * around, join and ch 2 [48 (54, 60, 66)]

Rounds 5-6: *fpdc in first, bpdc in next; repeat * around, join and ch 2
At end of round 6, do not chain 2, join and fasten off, weave in ends.


Place neck warmer inside the hooded cowl. Using a yarn needle, whip stitch the bottom of the neck warmer (round 1) around the inside of round 3 of shell stitches of cowl body.

Round 1: Using Impeccable yarn in color Gold, sc 5 in magic circle (magic ring), join

Round 2: Ch 1, 2sc in each stitch around, join (10)

Round 3: Ch 1, *2sc in first, sc in next; repeat * around, join (15)

Round 4: *Ch 10, sc in second chain from hook, hdc in next 3 chains, dc in next 3 chains, tr in last 2 chains, skip the next 2 sc stitches, slip stitch in next; repeat * around. Fasten off leaving a long tail and use tail to stitch to side of hood. Add button or brooch embellishment if desired.
