Top Hat:
Using Black Yarn
Round1: MC, HDC 8 in MC. Join and Ch2 (8)
Round 2: HDC 2 in each stitch around. Join and Ch 2 (16)
Round 3: HDC 2 in first stitch, HDC in next stitch, repeat around. Join and Ch 2 (24)
Round 4: HDC 2 in first stitch, HDC in next 2 stitches, repeat around. Join and Ch 2 (32)

Slip the band over the top of the hat and let it sit on top of the brim. Tack in place if desired. Sew on or glue gold trim or ribbon.
Newborn Vest:
Ch 50
Row 1: HDC in 2nd Ch from hook and across. Turn and Ch 2 (48)
Row 2: HDC 2 in first stitch, HDC in next 46, HDC 2 in last stitch. Turn and Ch 2 (50)
Row 3: HDC 2 in first stitch, HDC in next 48, HDC 2 in last stitch. Turn and Ch 2 (52)
Row 4: HDC 2 in first stitch, HDC in next 50, HDC 2 in last stitch. Turn and Ch 2 (54)
Row 5: HDC 2 in first stitch, HDC in next 52, HDC 2 in last stitch. Turn and Ch 2 (56)

Now we will begin working the right front panel of the vest.

Row 9: Attach yarn 11 stitches in from the left side, Ch 2 and HDC in same stitch. HDC in next 8 stitches, HDC2tog. Turn and Ch 2 (10)
Row 10-19: Repeat rows 10-19 from right side of vest.
Now we will work the back panel of the vest and start back on Row 9:
Row 9: Attach yarn in the 8th stitch from the right panel. Ch 2 and HDC2tog, HDC 16, HDC2tog. Turn and Ch 2 (18)
Row 10-15: HDC in each stitch across. Turn and Ch 2 (18)
Row 16: HDC in each stitch across. Fasten off and weave in ends (18)
Now we will attach the right and left vest panels to the back.
Fold the left and right sides in. Using a sewing needle stitch each side panel to the outside 5 stitches of the back panel. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Attach yarn to right arm hole and single crochet around. Join and fasten off, weave in ends. Repeat for left arm hole and for the outside edge of the jacket.
Use gold ribbon or trim and stitch or glue around the outside perimeter of the jacket.
DIAPER COVER
Use Red Yarn
Ch 47
Row 1: SC in 2nd chain from hook and across, turn and Ch 2 (46)
Row 2: DC in each stitch across, turn and Ch 1 (46)
Row 3: SC in each stitch across. Fasten off, weave in ends, and turn. (46)
Row 4: Join Black yarn in the 12th stitch and Ch 2, DC in same stitch and in next 23, turn and Ch 2 (24)
Row 5: SC in each stitch across, turn and Ch 2 (24)
Row 6: DC in each stitch across, turn and Ch 1 (24)
Row 7: Repeat row 5 (24)
Row 8: DC2tog, DC in next 20, DC2tog, turn and Ch 1 (22)

SC evenly around the diaper cover and join with first stitch. Join and fasten off. Weave in ends. Attach gold buttons to front of diaper cover.
BOW TIE:
Ch 35, Join and Ch 2
Round 1: HDC in each stitch around, join and Ch 2 (35)
Round 2-4: Repeat round 1 (35)
Round 5: HDC in each stitch around, join and fasten off leaving a long tail to wrap around the center of the bow. Fasten off and weave in ends. (My example below is in blue yarn)
For newborn, place bow under chin for photos. You can add string to tie bow around neck for older children, however I do not recommend doing so unless there is adult supervision while wearing as it is a choking hazard.
RINGMASTER WHIP:
Using Black Yarn
Round1: MC,HDC 8 in MC. Join and Ch1 (8)
Round 2: Working in Back Loops Only for this round. SC in first, HDC in next 7, do not join and continue to next round. (8)
Round 3-19: HDC in each stitch around (If you don’t want to count your rounds just continue until your whip handle is 6-7 inches long.)
Round 20: SC2tog, repeat 3 more times. Join and fasten off, close up opening and weave in ends.
Cut 3 strands of yarn 70 inches long.
Cut one strand 5 inches long.
Loop the 3 long strands around the top of the whip.
Fold strands in half and braid together.
Use the 5 inch strand of yarn to tie of end of braid.
Cut strand on end to an even length.
Now your baby is ready to train those lions!
