This next year we will celebrate the marriage of my baby sister. So, of course, we are celebrating her, and I had the honor of being tasked with her bridal shower.
But knowing my baby sister, I knew she did NOT want any type of games at her shower. It’s just not her style.
I mean we have all smiled through the handbag search, trying baby food, and trying to keep your pin by not saying a certain word.
Baby showers and bridal showers tend to be very similar when it comes to the format of the party.
So I knew I needed to come up with something that fit her.
And of course in my true fashion and personality, I decided to offer a craft. Something simplistic everyone could master in a short amount of time.
But also themed appropriately and fun.
The roll-up flowers were perfect because it didn’t require much craft knowledge or experience.
I designed a paper flower ring craft! And it was a total success!!! It brought people casually together to chat and enjoy the time celebrating the bride-to-be.
I left a table set up in the middle of one of the rooms with supplies and glue guns ready to go. It worked great for the flow of the party.
Grab a snack, and create a paper flower ring. Total win-win.
I would do it again and I think it would also be precious for a baby shower. I can just imagine it with pink or blue flowers.
But also, it doesn’t have to be done in a group, making one for your home decor is worthwhile!

DIY Paper Flower Ring Decor Supplies:
- Cut files (located below)
- Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine
- Card Stock in choice of colors (Approx one 12×12″ paper per large flower or two small flowers.)
- Metal Ring in your choice of size
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- Pencil to help roll the flowers

The instructions to create this are very simple. I didn’t even have to spend much time instructing our guests which means I had more time to grab myself a drink and food.
So as a hostess, this was perfect and didn’t add stress.
I quickly modeled one to a few people and then it took off and an instructor didn’t need to stay at the table.
All you do is take the outer end of the flower roll, place it around a pencil, and keep rolling around the pencil.
Once you get to the center circle the paper can be taken off of the pencil, adjusted by letting it relax a little, and then hot gluing to the circle.
The nice thing about flowers is they are very organic, so perfection isn’t needed.
Once the flowers are created in different sizes and quantities desired. Place some of the greenery onto the metal hoop until you like the placement.
Play around with it and decide how you might want your flowers to go.
Our guests didn’t have one flower hoop match another.
It was fun to see all the different styles and arrangements.
I hope you enjoy this craft and consider using it for your next celebration or event. After trying it out I think it would be great for a birthday party, girls night, bridal shower, or baby shower.
It’s also something unique and different than the usual party games, so your guests will really enjoy the thought and effort. Plus everyone felt like an amazing crafter when each hoop was a success.
