  • Size US H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Removable stitch markers if needed
  • Yarn needle to weave in ends
  • Macrame Tassels if desired

Bag folded and laid flat:
• Width 15.25” (39 cm)

Notes:

-This handbag is worked in the round from the bottom to the top.
-The Ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
-To reduce a traveling seam use the hook over method. This occurs when completeling the last step of the single crochet instead of placing the yarn over the hook, place the hook over the yarn and complete stitch.
-For small color sections such as the yellow the yarn can be carried on the back of the bag. For larger sections fasten of each round and either weave in end or tie strands together if placing a bag liner.

Handle Tabs (make 4)

Round 1: The handle tabs will be working in rows. Chain 10, turn. In BLO sc in each stitch across, turn. Stitch count: 10

Round 2: Ch 1, In BLO slip stitch in each stitch across Fasten off and leave a tail for stitching to bag. Stitch count: 10

Place the crochet tab through the end of the handle and fold in half. This will trap the handle inside the crochet tab. Repeat for other side of handle.
Place the handle on one side of the bag approximately one inch from the top of the crochet bag. Stitch tab to bag to secure the handle in place. Repeat this step for the handle on the opposite side of bag.

Finishing:

Embellishments: Attach handles but Feel free to add a closure or snap of your choice and a
fun tassel if desired.
