How To Make A Potholder

This same pattern can be used to create a potholder, there are just a few changes. You will need to use a 7mm Crochet Hook, but you can use the same yarn! We are going to be using the method of Getting Bulky Yarn from 1 Skein. This will increase the size of the Shamrock to be a crochet potholder, approximately 8.5 inches across.

Since we are holding three strands at once, we will need more yarn. It's about triple so estimate about 100 yards needed per shamrock potholder.

We will be using the same crochet instructions as the shamrock coaster, but starting it with the three strands, check out the video below to see this process.

After you have created the body of the shamrock, to crochet the stem chain 26, join to the first stitch in round with a slip stitch. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
