Wander Knit Sweater Free Pattern Notes:

Stitch Counts and Sizing Instructions are Written as Follows:
1-2 yrs (2-4 yrs, 4-6 yrs, 6-8 yrs, 8-10 yrs, Teen, Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2X)

The Wander Knit Sweater is worked from the top down in raglan style. First, the yoke will be worked, and the sleeve stitches will be placed on a holder.

Then, the body will be completed, and then the sleeves will be placed back on needles to complete. This knit sweater has some ease, increase or decrease the size for fitted or oversized styles.

Rnd 6: * K25 (27, 30, 32, 35, 37, 40, 42, 42, 42, 45), pm, k1, work Round 1 of Embossed Rib Panel over next 13 sts, k1, pm; rep from * once more.

Rnd 7: Knit to marker, slm, k1, work Round 2 of Embossed Rib Panel Over next 13 sts, k1, slm; rep from * once more.

Rnd 8: * Kfb, work as established to 1 st before next marker, kfb, slm; rep from * 3 more times. (this round will be all knit stitches). 88, (92, 98, 102, 108, 112, 118, 122, 122, 122, 128) sts

Rnd 9: Knit to marker, slm, k to 13st Embossed Rib Panel, work Round 2 of Embossed Rib Panel over next 13 sts, k to next stitch marker, slm; rep from * once more.

Repeats: Rep the last 2 rounds 5 (6, 8, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22, 24) more times. 128 (140, 162, 158, 188, 208, 230, 250, 266, 298, 320) sts

Repeats: Work 4 (4, 6, 6, 6, 6, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8) more rounds evenly as established with 13 sts Embossed Rib Panel, without increasing.

Wander Sweater Body

Rnd 1: Remove the beginning of round marker, knit to next marker, remove next marker, place all sts to next marker on a holder for the first sleeve, cast on 3 (3, 3, 5, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9, 10) sts for underarm using thumb cast-on method, remove next marker, knit to next marker, remove next marker, place all remaining sts on a holder for the second sleeve,  cast on the same amount of sts for other underarm and pm at the center of underarm to mark a new beginning of round. 84 (88, 102, 106, 128, 140, 156, 168, 176, 194, 210) sts

Repeats: Work evenly in Stockinette st until piece measures 15 (15½, 16, 16½, 17, 17½, 18½, 19½, 20, 21, 22) inches from last row of neck ribbing.

Bottom Ribbing of the Wander Sweater

Setup: Since the hem is worked in 2 x 2 ribbing some sizes will need to decrease by 2 stitches before continuing to hem. Decrease 2 stitches evenly for 4-6 yrs, 6-8 yrs, XL, and 2X sizes. 84 (88, 100, 104, 128, 140, 156, 168, 176, 192, 208) sts

Work in 2 x 2 Rib for 12 rows across remaining sts, then bind off in rib pattern. 84 (88, 100, 104, 128, 140, 156, 168, 176, 192, 208) sts

Cuff Ribbing: Work in 2 x 2 Rib for 8 (8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 12) rounds, then bind off in rib pattern. Work other sleeve the same way. 28 (28, 28, 32, 36, 36, 40, 44, 44, 48, 52)

Finishing

Weave in all loose ends. Block garment.
