Construction

The Block Stitch Chunky Hat is a simple and quick project! We'll begin by crocheting the brim in rows, then join it to work the body in the round with alternating colors, carrying our yarn up the inside of the hat as we crochet to reduce the number of ends to weave in. We’ll finish our hat by decreasing around the top. For extra flair, feel free to add a pompom!

The Mosaic Ridge Hat and the Gemstone Hues Hat are also simple and colorful pieces, perfect for gifting or keeping!

Using the long tail and your yarn needle, loop through each remaining st of the hat all the way around. Pull closed and weave in all ends. Place a pompom on the hat if desired, and wear it!

Crocheted hats are a versatile and stylish accessory, but why stop there? Pair them with other cozy handmade pieces for a complete, head-to-toe look! Wide scarves and cowls like the Winter Wheat Sweater Scarf add extra warmth and texture. Knit-Look Mittens complement a hat beautifully, keeping hands toasty while allowing for movement.

If you're looking for a larger project, consider a coordinating Sparrow Sweater or Rainbow Hues Granny Stitch Cardi to create a fully handmade ensemble. And don’t forget shawls! The lightweight Suzette Shawl or the cozy Wander Shawl add an elegant touch to any outfit.

Whether you're crafting for yourself or making thoughtful gifts, these projects pair seamlessly with crocheted hats to keep you warm and stylish all season long!

Cheers, and happy crocheting!
