Style

Whether you’re dressing up for a night out or simply want to add a handmade touch to your everyday look, the Granny Stitch Crochet Clutch is the perfect project for you. Pair it with a Picot Shawl for a date night look or the Granny Square Cardigan for a casual style.

Adding The Lining

Cut a piece of canvas fabric about a half inch larger than your crochet fabric on each side.

Fold down each edge of the fabric to be slightly under the edge of the crochet fabric. Using an iron to set the fold is helpful.

Either sew or glue these edges in place.
Now, with the wrong side of the crochet fabric and right side of the canvas facing you, either sew or use fabric glue to attach them together.

Flat lay of crochet supplies including yarn, crochet hooks, fabric glue, scissors, fabric pieces, leather tags, a tape measure, and a glass of an iced drink on a wooden coaster.

Seaming the Sides

Fold the fabric to create the pocket; the depth of the pocket can be adjusted to your liking, just make sure the spacing for the hardware will work.

Then, with your crochet hook, sl st through the blo of the edge stitch closest to you and the flo of the edge stitch farthest away.
Repeat until all sts along the edge are worked. Then repeat on the other side.
