These crochet eggs are perfect for Easter baskets, egg hunts, and “eggs-tra” special home decor. Plus, they make great stash-busting projects! Construction

These adorable Easter eggs work up quickly using two strands of yarn held together. Crocheted from the top down, they feature a convenient opening for filling with trinkets or candy. Made with durable cotton yarn, they’re both reusable and washable!

These eggs would look nestled around a Be My Bunny Amigirumi Buddy! Or maybe fill up a Unicorn (or Bunny, Llama, Dinosaur, or Dragon) Easter Basket!

Special Stitches

Magic Ring: To make a magic ring, wrap the yarn around your fingers to form a loop, then insert your hook under the first strand, grab the working yarn, and pull up a loop. Chain one to secure (if needed), then work your stitches into the ring, crocheting over the tail. Once all stitches are made, pull the tail tightly to close the center, then continue with your pattern.

Using the Hook-Over: The hook-over method in crochet involves wrapping the yarn under the hook before pulling it through the final 2 loops. This technique is fundamental for creating tighter stitches and affects the height, texture, and shaping of a project.

Pattern Notes

  • The chain 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  • Using a stitch marker at the beginning (or end) of each round is recommended.
  • Two strands of yarn will be held together throughout the entire project.

I love handmade and reusable holiday decor!  Not only does it add a personal, heartfelt touch to your celebrations, but it’s also eco-friendly, budget-friendly, and made to last year after year. Whether it's crocheted Easter eggs, festive garlands, or cozy winter ornaments, handmade decorations bring warmth and charm to any space.

Plus, they’re fully customizable—choose your favorite colors, textures, and patterns to create something uniquely you! Best of all, reusable decor means less waste and more joy, making every holiday extra special without the guilt of disposable decorations.

Try adding some texture to your reusable decoration collection with the Snowy Wheat Ornament, Autumn Wheat Bauble, and the Wreath Ornament and Coaster. These would look gorgeous in bright or pastel spring colors to coordinate with your Easter decor!

Cheers, and happy crocheting!

Well That Was Fun! What's Next?
