Finishing

Fold the bag in half. The following steps will be worked through both layers of the fabric to join.

Ch 1, slip st through the first st of the front and back layer of the fabric. Continue to sl st the fabric together for 3 more sts, ch 6 (this will be the loop for the bag strap to attach), sl st in same st, sl st the remaining sts together across. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attach yarn to the other side of the bag (the first row) and repeat.

Weave in all ends, wash, and lightly block if desired.

Congratulations - you just made your own Summer House Bag! I can't wait to see it - and to know how many more you'll make! Crocheted accessories are just so much fun!

This bag would look amazing over a puffer coat in the chilly season with a matching Autumn Wheat Hat and Mittens! (And who says your house can't accessorize, too?! Use your leftover cotton scraps to make a few Holiday Coasters or Ornaments!)

Cheers, and happy crocheting!
