How to Style Your Boho Pineapple Crochet Wrap

I love the flexibility of a wrap. It can be worn in several ways for a variety of looks to be on trend.

For the office - To top off the office look of the pineapple crochet stitch, pair the shawl with a skirt (long or short) and heels for a professional look. If your office is well-air-conditioned in the hot months, you will be happy you brought your wrap for those chills from the vents. It will look more appropriate than a casual jacket. The delightful texture adds to the workplace.

Casual - on the move - Let’s try a pair of skinny jeans, a cute pair of sandals or flats, and some flashy earrings for this look. Throw your shawl into your bag and take it out when needed at the coffee shop or restaurant. This will look great walking down your favorite street and help protect against the sun rays without adding too much bulk. Don’t forget your sunglasses; they look great to top off vintage pineapple crochet patterns.

Casual - at home - Cozy up on the couch with soft Merino wool! Or even a soft cotton yarn will feel good. And you won’t have to worry about sweating since this is a lightweight shawl with open crochet lacework. It’s that extra layer of comfort without needing a heavy blanket in a playful fashion style.

Date Night - Ever experienced that movie theatre chill and wish you had a light layer? Perfect timing to put on your Boho Pineapple wrap without feeling frumpy while on a date. It’s the perfect mix of sweet casual and stylish when worn with a maxi dress or your favorite dark jeans. Don’t forget a pop of color with a nice top or earrings. Feel free to turn it into an island style look for your next tropical vacation.

Want to Customize Your Pineapple Crochet Shawl Wrap? Here are Some Tips:
Wraps are very flexible when it comes to creating size. Since this item is not fitted, we have room for customizing the shawl. This pattern can be crocheted in several ways.

Length: If you prefer a shorter or longer shawl, either do fewer or more repeats of rows 9-24. And if this yarn weight is a thick texture for you, don't be afraid to go to a lighter weight yarns.

Width: Want more of a scarf width? Simply leave out one of the repeats and start by chaining 45 (43 sts plus 2 turning chains). And if you want this even wider for a blanket, increase the starting chain in increments of 20.

Details: Not feeling the fringe? Leave it off! Or replace it with tassels for a variety of looks. This would also be pretty in a self-striping yarn or an ombre. The possibilities are endless and don’t be afraid of substitutions for this one.

Make It A Poncho: With just a little seaming, this Boho Pineapple Shawl can be worn as a poncho. Simply fold in half and seam two long edges together starting at the opening, leaving enough room for the head.

Turn It Into A Blanket: By adjusting the amount of starting chain sts, we can increase the width of this shawl to a pineapple crochet blanket pattern. Then do the repeats as many times as necessary for the desired length of the lacey pineapple blanket. This would make beautiful home decor.

Repeats of the Pineapple Crochet Stitch Pattern

Repeat Rows 9-24 two more times, and fasten off.

Pineapple Boho Wrap Second Panel

With RS facing, join yarn to the opposite edge of the first row. Starting with Row 2, repeat the instructions for the First Panel, fasten off.

How to Add Fringe

When cutting the yarn fringe, wrap the yarn around a card or the length of a cell phone and cut once to save time. Attach the fringe using a larks head knot, with desired spacing along three sides of the wrap. Yarn fringe complete.

Want to try a twisted fringe? Check out How to Make Twisted Fringe for Crochet or Knit

Want contrasting edging? Try a different yarn color for the fringe. Maybe something like green yarn, or even rainbow yarn.
