About the Yarn
I wish I could share more with you about this yarn, but the colors are top secret! I can't wait to show you, but until then, trust me it's gorgeous. I feel lucky I've gotten to see it first hand.
I'm not going to lie, I think I swatched 15 different ideas for this shawl. All I could think about is how beautiful the yarn is, and I want to do it justice. The stunning array of colors remind me of a butterfly.
And just like a butterfly, this design didn't start at the end. It started with the same steps as a caterpillar. A lot of hard work, a bit of growth, and lots of snacks haha. As this really started to show its true form, I couldn't help but this process of designing was so similar, hence the name for the pattern.
In honor of cute little caterpillars that eat a lot of milkweeds, I named it the Milkweed Leaf Shawl. And I hope this shawl comforts you during a time of growth. If you are like me, during the hard times I might want to spend some time in a cocoon on the couch and enjoy my yarn. It's never a bad idea to take some time for yourself when you are working through life's struggles. And you will come out on the other side as a stunning butterfly, promise.
This pattern will include written, chart, and video instructions. More info to come.
