Fade Two Ways Crochet Beanie

Sharing is caring!

I had a lot of fun working up this Fade Two Ways Crochet Beanie in two different yarns and color styles. After working up my first hat with Caron Pantone Yarn I knew I wanted to make another one. And I had recently been working with Red Heart Hygge, so I check gauge and found this yarn works great as well!

And it’s super soft. So whatever bulky yarn you choose, this is a quick, fun, and cozy project. Even my puppy think so and gave me a little wink 😉

Fade Two Ways Crochet Beanie Notes

BLO– Work stitch in the back loop only. The sc stitches are worked in the back loops only, however when joining the round, join by working through both loops.

You can choose color combinations for this pattern however you like. The combinations of yarn shown in the two different hats above are as follows:

  • Color A- 19-4026 in Pantone, or Pearl in Hygge
  • Color B- 19-4324 in Pantone, or Rust in Hygge
  • Color C- 19-4340 in Pantone, or Sterling in Hygge
  • Color D- 16-5806 in Pantone, or Rust in Hygge
  • Color E – 13-4103 in Pantone, or Pearl in Hygge

-The fade hat is worked in the round, from the top down, and can also be worked in one solid color.

-The Chain 1 at the beginning of the round does not count as a stitch.

-Using the hook over, versus yarn over method, will lessen a traveling seam.

-The sc stitches are worked in the back loops only; however, when joining the round, join by working through both loops.
