Who loves an Animal Print Bag? I’ll raise my hand and say me, because my hooks are still hot from crafting this Animal Print Crochet Bag Pattern.
Animal print is so popular right now. And to have those cute bag accessories, the best option is to go faux, and, even better, crochet it yourself! I recently heard a story about a famous person wearing real animal fur inspired me to create this animal print purses fashion.
I’m not one to pay attention to celebrities unless they do something funny lol. Often I can’t place faces with names, and I have no idea who won the Oscars, which is okay because I have many friends that will keep me up to date.
I wasn’t allowed to watch much TV as a kid, we didn’t have cable and it was pretty much only some Saturday morning TV. I’m okay with that, but I never gained that pop culture interest.
But recently, I heard something about a Kardashian that I did pay attention to. I know, a Kardashian. Don’t run away, please; I’ve got a fashion solution to the negative pop culture chaos.
Kylie Jenner reposted Kim Kardashian’s post about the tragedy of animals dying in Australian fires. If you are not sure what Kardashian is what Kardashian, don’t fret, me either.
What was shocking was the next thing Kylie Jenner posted only hours later. An image of her new pedicure….. wearing her $1,500 Mink Louis Vuitton Slippers.
Yep, palm to face. Like ugh.
It just felt a little hypocritical right? And to each their own, but if you want fashion without animal cruelty, many artists can give you that. And that’s my goal today.
I love supporting faux animal artists because they care where their materials come from. They know about their product and choose the best for the animals and customers.
It’s also often more sustainable and environmentally friendly to go with the faux option. Your friends will love you more for not killing a tiger for the stripes.
I hope this unique animal print bag is an awesome accessory in your closet and a great way to celebrate the beauty of animals without harming them.
And if you are into bags that might be less cutesy and more modern, I also have the Nettleton Crochet Bag, and the Hygge Infinity Crochet Clutch for a smaller option, both are perfect for a coffee date.
What type of print is this animal bag?
I wanted to combine a few animal prints, so there is a bit of leopard, cheetah, and even zebra print. This is why it’s so fun to create; it’s so unique.

Notes:
– This pattern is worked in the round. The ch 1 at the beginning of the round does not count as a stitch.
– Since there are a wrong side and a right side to the bag, a combination of intarsia and carrying yarn can be used on the inside of the bag for the colorwork. Experiment and see what works best for you.
– When the pattern is written as sc 3 this means to sc in each of the next three stitches (3 stitches in total worked). When the pattern is written as 3sc, this means to sc 3 into the next stitch.
