Notes:
The Frosted Swirl Crochet Hat is worked from the top down.
When instructed to join round, always join with a slip stitch to the first stitch of the round.
The chain at the beginning of the round does not count as a stitch.
Some rounds will increase in stitch count due to floating stitches and then decrease again on the next round.
If the cables pull in too much and the fabric does not lay flat, simply add one yarn over to each floating stitch.
If the cables are too loose, take away one yarn over from each floating stitch.
When working in the round use the hook over the yarn method when creating single crochet stitches. This will lean the stitches so the seam is straight and the pattern on the hat isn’t slanted.

Finishing
Weave in all loose ends. Block Hat to measurements.
Pompom
Here is a helpful video showing how to make the faux fur pompom:
Using a cereal bowl as a template, cut a circle out of the faux fur fabric.
Use a sewing needle to weave sewing thread around the perimeter of the circle using a simple running st.
Holding cotton balls or batting at the center of the circle, pull ends of sewing thread to close the faux fur circle into a ball. Sew pompom to the top of Hat.
