Sharing is caring!

You asked for it, and I’m delivering the Crochet Knit Purl Free Hat Pattern. After the viral TikTok video, I have had so many requests for this stitch in a pattern. When I posted the video, I already had patterns planned and had been enjoying this stitch for months.

I’m excited for you to try this stitch! It’s very relaxing and rhythmic. I find it so soothing to work up, and I hope you experience the same.

If you haven’t seen this stitch in action yet, start here at this post to get the basics.

My friend Shawna really wanted me to try a double slip stitch brim, so I did! I’ve got two brim options for you to try on this hat. If you are feeling adventurous try out the double slip stitch, it’s in the video tutorial as well.

While this stitch mimics the 1×1 knit rib, it doesn’t have the properties of ribbing. It lays like a flat fabric with a great drape. But it’s not as flexible as a traditional rib but has a great quality for garments and home decor.
