Easy Crochet Bunny Head Pattern for Easter Decor

If you’re looking for the sweetest handmade touch for your spring décor, this crochet bunny head pattern is the perfect place to start. Designed as part of the Carrots & Cottontails Crochet Garland, these adorable bunny motifs bring cozy farmhouse charm to your Easter decorations.

A woman holds up a wooden ring and a handmade white yarn ornament shaped like a crochet bunny head with ears, with several similar ornaments displayed nearby.

Each bunny head is crocheted directly around a wooden ring, creating a beautifully structured shape with a soft, rounded silhouette that instantly reads as “bunny.” This clever construction technique makes the project both beginner-friendly and wonderfully polished.

Whether you’re decorating your mantel, creating Easter table décor, or planning a spring craft project, these bunny heads are a charming and versatile addition to your seasonal crochet collection. These look adorable with coordinating mini carrots! They’re also perfect for using up leftover wooden rings from the Lucky Shamrock Garland and the Wheat Stitch™ Dishtowel Holder.

Construction

The bunny heads are worked directly around wooden rings, which serve as the foundation for the shape.

We’ll start by joining our yarn directly to the ring and working single crochets partway around. At the midpoint of the ring, we will make the ears by either chaining or creating short rows of foundation single crochet. After we join those to the ring, we’ll cover the rest of the ring with more single crochets. Then, we’ll fasten off and weave in the ends, and giggle over how cute these little bunnies are!

Now that you have a pile of bunny motifs, they can be used in several ways, including as part of the Carrots & Cottontails Crochet Garland or transformed into charming crochet napkin rings for spring tablescapes.
